The Utah Weed Control Association has been around since about 1986. It was formed in order to bring weed control issues into a greater light and to provide a forum to address ways to improve weed control in the state.
Current officers of the UWCA in 2007 are Ira Bickford - President, Boyde Kitchen - President Elect, Bill Gilson - Vice President Elect, and Steve Dewey - Secretary / Treasurer. The Executive Committee consists of Steve Burningham - Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, Steve Dewey - USU Agriculture Experiment Station, Ralph Whitesides - USU Coopertive Extension, Pat Brown - Private Industry, and Tim Higgs - Utah Weed Supervisors Association.
