Originally from Asia, camelthorn is found in both dry and moist areas, commonly along canals or streams. It reproduces by seed and vertical and horizontal roots.
Thorn

Stems are lined with one-quarter to three-quarter inch thorns. One inch long, wedge-shaped leaves are overshadowed by the thorns.
